Fresh Roasted: Live Beat-Making Battle
I’m proud to announce that on Thursday December 3rd, I won the Fresh Roasted beat battle. Mark Grusane and King Hippo presented Shon Dervis, Makaya McCraven, Charlie Coffen and myself with four samples. We had eighty minutes to chop the samples and make something on the spot. Confined to a small stage with a dj spinning and a noisy crowd, we got to it. Eighty minutes later the crowd decided that I was the winner. I had a great time participating in the battle, my hats off to all that participated!!
